Wood based cat litter is not only great for cats but also ideal for covering the trays in the bottom of parrot cages.
as the pellets are highly absorbent and help to reduce any odour from droppings or split food.
Unlike shavings, sawdust or newspaper, wood pellets are heavy and stay put on the bottom of the cage, even if the parrot flaps its wings.
